CUSTOMIZED LOGISTICS

Our contractually commissioned logistics services combine transportation, warehousing, and the order management into customized systemic solutions. As a Third-Party Logistics Provider (3PL), we carry out the management of the entire flow of goods, communication, and information.

At Hmezad Trgovina Žalec, all of the requirements of individual partners may be met due to our wide range of logistical solutions. In order to achieve this, we developed an entire range of services:

 

 

 

STORAGE OF GOODS


Our logistics center manages our partners' warehouse activities as a part of a completely integrated solution in their supply chain. This saves our partners both time and money and enables them to continue improving the quality of their logistical processes.

We offer our partners various commissioning systems and warehousing strategies, such as FIFO, FEFO, and LIFO.

We offer:

  • the receipt and dispatch of goods,
  • the storage of food products according to HACCP requirements,
  • warehouse handling including the sorting, commissioning, wrapping, and palletizing of goods,
  • warehousing with controlled temperatures (frozen, refrigerated),
  • the latest warehousing technology,
  • the use of the SSCC standardized tracking code,
  • the use of the EDI standard for data exchange.

 


TRANSPORTATION and DISTRIBUTION

 

The familiarity with the specific features of food transportation, modern truck fleet, and a well-trained team in close connection with the warehouse contribute to the speed and reliability of deliveries.

The distribution of goods is carried out from the central logistics center in Žalec or from the "cross-docking" warehouse in Ajdovščina. The process is supported with the latest IT systems which enable the maximum transparency of the flow of goods.

 

 

CROSS-DOCKING

Cross-docking means that the goods are taken from the manufacturer to the buyer in a more direct manner with as little as possible or no interim handling or warehousing at all, which significantly reduces the logistics costs and delivery deadlines.


We offer our partners the following cross-docking services:

  • unloading of goods,
  • the sorting of goods according to orders or recipients,
  • temporary storage,
  • re-loading and transportation of goods,
  • IT supported process and tracking of goods.

 

 

VALUE ADDED SERVICES


We offer our partners solutions that exceed mere transportation and storage of goods. These special activities are called value added services.


They include:

  • packing and re-packaging of goods,
  • co-packing for promotional purposes,
  • labeling and marking,
  • commissioning
  • palletizing,
  • automated process for inventories check-ups,
  • returns management (after-sale logistics),
  • the handling of re-usable packaging materials (reverse logistics).
